  1. Today, more of a low key day, popped in to the royal residence - cafe a disappointment, peeling paintwork, no plain scones unless you pre-book the huge afternoon tea, expensive sandwiches made on Wednesday. Cake was quite nice. Off to Ballater now to see the old railway station
