@cleanairedi @CleanAirSheff @networkrail usually it’s for the ‘hotel’ power, lights, toilets, computers etc - they do have batteries though, so might not always be necessary - some units keep one or two engines running and switch off the rest. The more electric trains we get, the better the situation..
